Taking inspiration from the cultural sights, sounds, and tastes of Rio de Janeiro, Dalston Roof Park was transformed into a Brazilian carnival for one night only on the 23rd May 2015. This was Cally Munchy’s first chance to prove ourselves as true contenders on the street food scene to the public.

Taking advantage of the Brazilian cultural theme already in place, we saw this as a great opportunity to fuse together Afro Caribbean with Brazilian flavours to create a bold and exciting taste for our main dish. ‘Spiced Galinhada’. This is a well-known Brazilian rice and chicken dish which we spiced up with subtle Nigerian flavours cooked on our brand new paella pan. We really enjoyed the whole experience even though the weather was not at its best but customer feedback showed us that we were on to something great. So we look forward to the next chance to share the world with London.
